JavaScript Error after Migration to CRM 2013: Sys.Res is undefined in global.ashx

I try a CRM 4 to CRM 2013 organization upgrade. I run the import organization wizard in deployment manager without an error two times: CRM 4 to CRM 2011 and CRM 2011 to CRM 2013.

But if i try to open the organization in Browser, i got only a blank page with an empty blue bar:

8877.error1.PNG

If I use JavaScript Debugger of IE it looks like a null reference exception in global.ashx:

7115.error2.PNG

Firefox Debuggere told me Sys.Res is undefined in global.ashx:

The empty organization that was created automatically during installation, is working.

The CRM 2013 has installed Service Pack 1 an Update Rollup 1 + 2 for SP1.

I used google but can not find a clue as to how I can fix this problem.

Can anyone please give a hint?

    Hi Ama,

After you migrated CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011, did you modify your JScript Code. You have to modify them in order for them to work in CRM 2013.

There are methods which have been deprecated and would not work in latest IE. I would suggest you to go through the JScript Code.

I can see in the image, there are two errors on Console. You may also look into that to get a more clearer information.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Hi Mithilesh,

i removed every Plug-In, Plug-In-Step and Custom JavaScript Code befor I backup the organization database.

In addition, there is the main application window that does not loads and not an entity form.

    Ragard, Ama

P.S.: The two error on Console are identically:

    Hi,

I've come up against this exact issue myself recently - managed to solve it, but it took a long time (and a sleepless night) to figure out!

You'll need to back to your CRM 2011 system. As well as updating your JScript:

In Settings/Administration/Users - check that the CRM record for the account you have your admin user mapped to actually has a name (in my DB, I found First Name and Last Name for this user were both 'null' - I set them as 'System' and 'Administrator' respectively) - as a matter of fact, maybe best to ensure that ALL of your CRM user records have a First Name and Last Name specified (no nulls....)

Once done, backup your 2011 DB again and then give the CRM 2013 import another go. Best of luck!

I am also facing the same issue. We upgraded from CRM 2011 RU8 to RU18. All the organizations were working fine in both IE8 and IE11. But suddenly one of the organization stopped working in IE11 and working fine in IE8. Since many of  the users having IE11, we have to fix this issue for IE11. I have checked, none of the users having null in FName or LName. Please help to resolve this issue.
