Power 8 CRM connection

I'm trying to get the Windows 8 Power 8 CRM app connected. After installing the app it asks for connection information (organization, server url and username/password).

I signed up for a CRM dynamics online trial and I'm able to use it via a browser. When I try to connect using Power 8 CRM it is unable to connect.

I'm using the same organization and username/password to connect... so I figure it's either the server url or the online trial isn't compatible with Power 8 CRM. The server url I'm using is: https://voltdemo.crm.dynamics.com.

    Re: Power 8 CRM connection

Ryan - A new build just went post last night and is in the Microsoft Store already this morning. Grab version 3 form the store, lots more cool features.

    Suggestions:

Load powerPhoto (free for 30 days) makes it so you can capture contact photos. As well as associate photo's with Tasks and display a user image.

Load powerGlobalSearch (free for 30 days) makes it so you can drill into related items. You can use the search charm, but you can't drill in from their yet, but you will be able to drill into records found from global search.

Load powerWebTraffic (free for 30 days) makes it so you can view web traffic statistics on your tablet. As well as see which contacts are on your site and which leads are on your site. It's really cool. Live Tile will indicate what one of the users leads where on the site.

Load Activitiy Feeds (Fee from Microsoft) We will add Yammer integration as its becomes available.

We will leverage poweroneview in the future. This will give you a roll up of the given entity (account, contact, Opportunity etc.)

I'm glad you’re connected. We have a team working on enhancing as fast as we can. We have many more cool new features coming. Please let us know what you like and what you don't like, let us know what works and what does not work.

Lastly all I can say is I love working on tablet running Windows 8. It’s fast and fluid. We are creating a process that allows you to manage opportunities and move them through the pipeline.

IMPORATNT: The pipeline phase is just a text field. You need to manage the data or pipeline phase via work flow or an at this point make sure people input consistent steps. This is CRM out of the box. New versions of CRM will support sales stage, we will build it in ASAP.

Dean - thanks for the info. I was using my usual microsoft account instead of the @Volt.microsoft.com one... that did the trick. I am in!

    Ryan -

I would be happy to help you solve the issue. We test power8CRM against online, O365 and partner hosted.

    Fields:

Organization Name: This can be any name. It simply logical name you can use to switch between multiple organizations. Example "Volt - Test" or "Volt - Production"

Server URL: Full URL. Example https://voltdemo.crm.dynamics.com

User ID: full user id. Example ryan@volt.onmicrosoft.com

    Password: your password

    Should connect right away.

A new version was deploy today. Should show up tomorrow (normally takes 24 hours). Lots of cool new features.

Please post any errors, or warning message.
