Hi all.

I Have this problem in SL 7.0, when I open Jornal Transaction Screen, once I click on detail area or try to view any of the available GL Batches, what I get is

System Message 10232

 Assertion Failure,

File:TLBTextMask.cpp

Line:57

Expression: p_RawMask.GetLength()>0

Hit OK to stop the program, and report the error to Ms support.

What c ould be responsible for this?

Thanks.

    Assertion failures are most commonly from customizations... one way to check if this is the case is to select the level of "Standard" from the bottom bar (where it says "self") and then try it.  if it works in Standard mode, then something in the customization has caused the screen to fail.

    The only way I know is to:-

    First, export the customization to a .cst file, and keep a copy of it.

    That way, if it all goes wrong, you still have that copy of the original customization.

    Then scan the "controls & properties" area of the cst file, looking for anything that "looks odd".

    Then start removing bits of the customization.

    Possibly start with the VBA/BSL code - there may be something in there that is causing the problem.

    Then start removing the customizations to individuak controls.

    If you remove something, abd thescreen stops crashing, you've probably found it!.
