Higher Cost of upgrading Dynamics NAV to Business centralI have business based in Canada, currently using Dynamics NAV. My Dynamics 365 partner has recently recommended upgrading to Business Central. However, the associated costs are significantly high. Is there a way for an implementation partner in Canada to assist with this upgrade in a more cost-effective manner?

Hi,

You might have posted in the wrong forum. I cannot give specific advice for NAV since I'm an F&O guy, but here is some general advice regarding ERP projects.

Yes, my advice is to always do an RFP with multiple vendors, It's generally a good procurement practice when you deal with a big project. Another perspective is to also look into how much crud you want to migrate from your current ERP to a new one. Lift and shift might turn out more expensive in the end.

I would consider moving from NAV to BC a big project, exactly like moving from Dynamics AX to D365 F&O...

Instead of a full-scale upgrade, you can consider a phased approach.

This allows you to spread out costs over time and manage the transition more smoothly.

In addition, remote implementation services, can be more cost-effective than on-site services.
