Hi all,

I generate report called "sales order print" this is customized report,

Here I print Tamil Fonts in the Item Description screenshot Attached Below,

In the Production environment Its show box and box in description area but same in sandbox Working Fine
why it's happening Any language Related Setting is there kindly Help me to resolve this issue

Hi,

Most probably this is a font/encoding issue. Can you please share the code/properties that you added for changing the language to Tamil in Sandbox and Production?

This seems to be a problem with your xlf file. Please delete the original translation file, regenerate and try again.

The issue of Tamil fonts appearing as boxes in the production environment while working correctly in the sandbox is typically due to missing or improperly configured Unicode font support in the reporting or printing subsystem. This is a common problem in enterprise systems like Dynamics 365 Business Central when regional language settings and font embedding are not uniformly applied across environments.

Hi,

The issue happens because the Tamil font used in your report is not available on the production service tier. In SaaS, Microsoft-hosted servers don’t allow installing custom fonts, so if the font isn’t embedded in the RDLC or Word layout, it will render as boxes.

Why it works in Sandbox:

> The font might be embedded in the layout there, or the environment uses cached resources.

Fix:

> Embed the Tamil font in the RDLC or Word layout so it travels with the report.
> Or use a Unicode-compliant font that is supported by Business Central SaaS (e.g., Nirmala UI).
> For On-Prem, install the font on all service tiers.

This is a font availability issue, not a language setting problem.

Hi, If this is the SaaS version, please note that not all fonts are supported.
I don't see Tamil in the list below.
Please try another supported font.
