How can I eliminate the blank white space appearing above the bottom edge of the page in SSRS Report Builder? I need to position a scanline right at the bottom of the page, but an empty gap shows up beneath it, even though there’s no visible space in the RDL layout. How can I completely remove that?

The blank white space at the bottom is usually caused by extra padding or body height not matching the page size in SSRS.

Check Page Size vs. Body Size:

Go to Report Properties.

Ensure:
Body Height + Top Margin + Bottom Margin = Page Height
(e.g., if Page Height = 11in, Top + Bottom Margins = 1in, then Body Height must be exactly 10in).

Avoid extra space in the Body:

Resize the Body height precisely to end at the scanline.

Ensure no objects (even hidden or whitespace) exist below the scanline.

Disable ‘CanGrow’ if used:

If the scanline or any control above it can grow dynamically, it may push the layout down.

Verify Footer settings:

If using a Page Footer for the scanline, ensure no extra padding/margin exists there.

Conclusion: Precisely match the Body height and eliminate overflow content to remove the white space.
