document.getElementById("subgrid_unique_name"); returns null

I have a connection subgrid added on a queue item form. I want to set the view of the subgrid dynamically using fetchXML query. But when i try to get the subgrid control using "document.getElementById("subgrid_unique_name");", it returns null.

On working more on this, i just got it resolved on my own. The issue in my case was that HTML DOM don't return the control until it is loaded (though it show up on form). So as a work around, i just added a timeout until the control is available.

Hi Mandar after DOM is loaded when try to get the object from console it is returning null by using function document.getElementById
