Framework Contracts in MS CRM 2011

Hi all,

I need a solution for the following requirements. Certain customers or group of customers can buy products at discounted prices. The discounts are results of special customer agreements and cover part of product offerings. In example a company “A” gets 10% discount on Sony computers and 5 % discounts of any SW purchased together with a Sony computer. This kind of agreements are very common in special account sales  and I am sure there is a good way to cover this requirement in MS CRM 2011. Since I am new in this CRM terrain I am reaching out for help of experts and appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

    Hello  Jalal,

One way to achieve your goal of having a 10% on hardware and a 5% discount on sw, would be to create a multiple price lists and discount lists.

You can create two discount lists, by doing the following:

    1. Log into CRM as Administrator or a System Customizer

    2. Browse to Settings > Business > Product Catalog > Discount Lists

Create your discout List criteria for each item.

Next create your Price Lists by going to

Settings > Business Product Catalog > Price Lists

Create your Price List criteria here.

Inside of the Price List you will see a Common Entity called "Price List Items"  in here you will specify the Product and The Discount List you want to associate with it.

You can then select the appropriate price list (either a discounted or non-discounted list) when a user chooses to buy Software with a Computer or seperate.

I hope this helps answer your question.

    Best Regards,
