HI All,

Good day!

We want to change all users (except System admin) Business Units. We don't need to keep all existing user roles.

How to change them? what is the best approach for it?

Thanks for your help!

Jane

    Hello Jane,

The easiest way for you is the following:

    1. Open "Advanced Settings" as it is described here - www.marksgroup.net/.../

    2. Navigate to Security -> Users.

    3. Select users you want to move to the different business unit with checkboxes on the left side of the grid.

    4. Click the button "Change Business Unit" in the command bar.

    5. In the popup dialog select the business unit you want to move to and click "OK".

    Thanks Andrew!

There are a lot of users. Is there a way to update it through a process? Tried to use Kingsway (SSIS), but haven't figured out it yet. Or using web API or Flow?

    Thanks!

    Jane

    Jane,

What do you mean by 'a lot'? Do you have paging set to 250? In this case, even 1000 (that I could consider as a lot) is only 4 pages.

Just in case here is the post that describes how you can change your personal options - ledgeviewpartners.com/.../

    hi,

The normal way to do it is

Go to settings - security - users - search for that user name & open  the system user record.

You will find the “Change Business Unit” in Ribbon/command bar. Use it to change his BU.

If you have huge number of users you can use a workflow:

Create a checkbox field or any other field in user form, then add any value in that field or check the check box for the users you want to change the BU.

Create a on demand workflow which will change the BU of the users for which the field is checked or meet a certain value in any specific field.
