/ping is used for smoke test of the service and where as printer/print is used for printing. If you want to just change the port, you can change that from the hardware station menu on the stores configuration. If you are using "localhost" on a shared hardware station, make sure that Subject name on the SSL also says the same. Other connectivity will fail due to SSL trust error. It is better to use the computer name.

Even though the ping is succesful, When an MPOS access the service using the "localhost" hostname, they will get SSL error. This is why you see "Not Secure" tag on the address bar on your screenshot. If you used a self signed certificate into install the hardware station, make sure that you copy the Self signed certified to the Trusted Root Certificate folder in the certificate manager (in the machine where the POS is installed) and use the "Real Computername" instead of local hostname on the configurations. To check if there is no issue, can you do the test by replacing the localhost with the computername of the machine where the HW service is installed ?

Do you mean to say, if you configure printer as Windows in D365 hardware profile. You are able to print the invoice from POS ?

                                                                                         OR

If you try test print from Windows Control panel or other any application. The printing works ?

I just noticed your hardware profile screenshot. You are using Zywell printer in OPOS mode. You would received a OPOS configuration utility from the printer manufacturer ? Have you configured a logical name for the printer(80mm Series Printer doesnt seems to be the correct logical name). After you configure it, do a test print from the OPOS utility to make sure that the PC is able to communicate with printer using OPOS. Sometimes, you would also require to install OPOS CCO for the print drivers to work properly with PC. Please install OPOS CCO on the machine where hardware station service is installed.

No, with the windows option in the hardware profile, I could print, but that was junk. they sent me printed papers—all junk.

OPOS CCO was already Installed while before installing Hardware Profile

Now one friend suggested I should create a user with 'RetailHwsUser' and reinstall the HWStaton.

They suggested me Create an account in my system and name it as  RetailHwsUser. It should be part of the local administrator group.

Then log in as RetailHwsUser. Reinstall the hardware station, and restart the system and it worked

I think this will solve my issues.

    I hope

    Thank you'
