Hi Community,

I have this error below. to be sure, my users has been posting Purchase of Fixed Asset and Items in payment journal

pastedimage1632821501777v1.png

May I ask am I able to post Purchase Fixed Asset at Payment journal, or should I be posting it a FA G/L Journal or FA Journal?

Thank you.

    Josh,

I am guessing you are using the Payment Journal instead of entering an Invoice as your process. That is fine but have you setup the Fixed Asset Granule? You have to setup the Depreciation Book, FA Posting Types, Fixed Asset Posting Groups. Also, have you created the Fixed Asset to enter on the Payment Journal line under Account Type = Fixed Asset, No. = Fixed Asset No..

Have you done the setups? If not write back and I will send over a Fixed Asset Manual.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi, as Steve said, this seems to be a setup problem.

    Hope the following will help.

    How to: Acquire Fixed Assets

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics-nav-app/fa-how-acquire

    Thanks.

    Hi Steve,

I'm not sure if I have set up any Fixed Asset Granule?

    How can I find out?

    Thank you!

    Josh,

In the search box type Fixed Asset Setup. On the Page if nothing is populated you probably have not setup. Attached is a Manual to help you.
