Physical name of Planner Master table

I need to add a field to the Report: Buyer Id for Default Site.

The user of the GP showed me that it is a Buyer ID field on the Item Resource Planning Maintenance screen.

I used a method to find a table: Open the Microsoft Dynamics GP window that contains the data you are interested in, and then select Tools >> Integrate >> Table Import to see the tables associated with the Dexterity Form.

This is Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016.

For the form Item Resource Planning Maintenance 5 tables appeared:

I was able to find that Buyer Master table has Physical Name POP00101.

P2.

I checked this table and found that it is just a dimension table for Buyer ID.

I tried to find a Physical name of Planner Master table, but it was not in the list.

So, I have 4 questions:

  1. What is the Physical name of Planner Master table?

  2. Why it is not in the list on Table Names Screen?

  3. Why I should look through dozens on Series and cannot just select ALL to find the table?

  4. Where I can find the whole list of the tables for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016?

It's listed, it's just under the Inventory series.

I don't really have an answer for you for number 3.  That's just the way this window works.  For number 4, there's multiple resources out there but alot of them will be built around modules as well.  There's DynDeveloper (http://dyndeveloper.com/DynModule.aspx?DBName=Company%20DB) and Victoria Yudin's site which is really informational

Also, after re-reading what you are actually looking for, you may need the IV00102 table.  That's where the buyer ID is stored for the item/site setup.

Matt, thank you for pointing to me to the DynDeveloper site. I really could find a table IV00110 from Display Name = Planner Master.

How about the second table: IV00102? How did you found it? You just new from your experience? If so – it is not the best way for me. I’m a report developer and work in different companies with different application. I cannot remember thousands of tables for each application. In Lawson, for example, there is a feature, then you point to the field on the form, it shows table and a field. In Dynamics there is no such feature.

On Victoria Yudin’s site I could not find a table Planner Master:

At this moment our company is in the middle of migrating of SQL Server to the 2016 version, so I cannot validate if I can use IV00110 table, but by the end of the week I will look.

I just wonder if there is a feedback from this forum to developers of Microsoft Dynamics. Do they read this forum? Is there a place where I can write my suggestions to improve the application?
