Unable to launch FRx from within Great Plains

Good morning, my end user attempts to open FRx from Great plains it will not work. When she tried to open FRx from within Great Plains she was greeted with the below message.

RUN APPLICATION ERROR

\\Server\Dynamics\Frx67\Sysdata\FrxRpts.f32 returned 11

She is able to launch Great Plains from her pinned down icon which is a direct link to FRx, but not from within Great Plains itself.

We have user who does not have this issue and he can get in without incident. When I went to FRx in Great Plains on his machine, he was able to get right in. I examined the FRx link in Great Plains and I see his link is different than that of the other end users who are attempting to launch FRx from within Great Plains. I do see that the links to FRx are different, but I do not know how to correct it so that all of the users can use the same link and FRx would be able to be launched from within Great Plains.

The version of Great Plains is 10.0 and it is on a Windows 7 professional PC.

This is where we would like This-is-where.pngthe have a functioning link to FRx from within Great Plains.

    Greetings.

First of all, what version of FRX are you running?

Secondly, on the machine that is having the error, do you see the FRx launch icon in the Reports section of the Financial Reports menu?

Can you share the link that is working.  It would be of help to see what is working now.

    FRx version 6.7.

I cannot share the links because they are private.

Can you find the data folder into which Frx is installed.

There is a file DynFRx ( can not recall ) that file should contain the path of the link - so look on the working machine

This should point to the location on the local machine where FRx is installed and it should be the FRx.exe file at the end of the line.

The link does not contain any personal data, it is simply the link to the FRx launch file

I would like for a file called FRXDYN.INI. Try renaming all that you find it and then re-launch GP and click on the FRx menu option under reports. This will allow you to refine the configuration file. Do you have FRx installed locally or on the server?

So I am not sure where that link comes from - can you tell me from where you got the link?

That was the file name - I had the order backwards in my mind.

Thanks Richard for that correct post.

When I go into GP and I see FRx as a menu option, I right clicked on it and saw it.

Will copying and pasting the GOOD FRXDYN.INI into the machine with the Bad one achieve the objective?
