Hi, the Save button is operated by the Carriage Return key at all times while in the Receivings Transaction Entry window.

Does this help...or do you need a specific shortcut key?

    Best regards,

    Mohammed,

If you have the Modifier module you can edit the button and put in a shortcut.

Another option is to record a macro that clicks on the save button. Add the Macro to your shortcut bar and then assign a keyboard shortcut (like F2) to the new shortcut. When you are in the Receivings Transaction entry window and you want to hit the save button, hit F2.

You can also hit the Shift + Enter key.

I like the Macro solution best if you don't have Modifier - the macro is so underused. If you want all users to be able to do this then add the shortcut to the user class on the shortcut bar. Of course, you need to have user classes set up to use this. You also need to be logged in as 'sa' in order to see this option in the shortcut bar.

    Kind regards,

    Lesliee

If you need to Record  Macro in Micorsoft dynamics GP. you should flow these steps.

1-Arrange data in Excel work sheet and save as it as CSV (Comma Delimated)

2-Record Macro in Microsoft GP and save it

3-Now you will open Macro in Microsoft word and click at tabe of mailling>>start mailing merg>>step by step mail merg wizard>>select document type (directory)>>Click next button>>Click Next button>>brows and then select CSV file>>map field one by one>>to new document>>merg a new domcument ok>>finish

4- Data copy from new created word file and paset it on Macros recored file.

5- Go in Microsft dynamics window where you want to run this macor and Play it.

    Hi Mohammed,

Great! Using Modifier, here are the steps

    1. Open the Receivings Transaction Entry window in Modifier
    2. Click on the Save button
    3. On the Properties window (hit CTRL+M if it isn't showing) select the Object tab
    4. Double click on Data Type in the list of object properties, this will open the Data Type Definition window
    5. On the Data Type Definition window select the elipses button on the Static Values line (Text - Picture is the field value)
    6. The Button Items window will open
    7. You need to decide which letter you want to use for your shortcut
    8. Put the & sign in front of the letter you want for your shortcut. For example if you want the 'a' to be the shortcut, the Up Caption should read S&ave. You need to make sure you pick a letter that isn't already assigned to another shortcut. I think  the 'a' is available.
    9. Save your window changes, go back to Dynamics and grant access to the modified window through the Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports ID.
    10. Now all of the Save buttons that use the same data type will have the assigned shortcut.

Let me know if this is what you needed.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
