Star Micronics TSP100 - Cutter Partially Working

(0) ShareShare

RMS 2.0 new installation using a Star Micronics TSP100. Cutter works fine after cash receipts, but fails to cut a Credit Card transaction into two pieces (one for receipt and one for signature).

Everything else seems to work fine.

Hi David - not familiar with the TSP100 but if you are using windows drivers, go into the printer's properties and select one of the tabs on the top - probably advanced - printing preferences - or 'layout' - something like that

Look for a setting that allows you on a drop down to select "page cut / page cut" as the action on a new page (the credit card section is set up as a "first" page of a credit card receipt, with the second page being the actual sales receipt)

With this setting in place it should cut the credit card receipt for you

    Hope this helps.....

David, I just bought a TSP100 but I don't process CC's through RMS, I use a stand alone. I looked into the different settings in the TSP100's properties, but I wasn't able to find anything specific about cutting for CC receipt's. The only thing I could find was to enable 'partial cut' or 'no cut'. I do know there is a setting in RMS Manager under Registers | Receipt Formats | Sales for 'CC Paper Cut Percent (OPOS)'. The default setting for mine is 75. 'Show C.C. Signature' is TRUE and 'Show Name on C.C. Slip' is TRUE . You may want to check in Manager to make sure those settings are correct. I think that is probably where your problem lies. Craig

I know this thread is old but you can configure the printers cut options via the printer properties menu under Devices and Printers. look for the tab labeled device settings and make sure paper cut type and document cut type are both set to "partial cut"

    Hope this helps.
