Hi all

In my organisation we are getting hands-on (focussing on development mainly)  on some key topics of CRM and I need couple of good case study requirements that will cover the following areas -

  1. Workflows
  2. Plugins
  3. Web Services

Any suggestion with a basic requirement spec will be really helpful.

Thanks

Sanchita

Not sure for plugins and web services, but I tend to base my requirements for workflows around business rules, so that we can quickly identify the processes that can be automated and which ones can't be due to various exceptions that may make automating more difficult.

    Hello,

You can start with Workflows as they can be design internally in the CRM. Then you can go through plug ins which are created through SDK  and then to web services.

Requirements specs are different for every company.

You need to go through the important aspects and create a spec yourself, it would not take long

    Sanchita,

Typical use case for Web Services would be integration with outside application seeking information from CRM (CRUD) among many other use cases.

As Ben mentioned - lot depends on customer /company's business /requirements.

Some of the considerations are : Do we need real time/batch (Sync or async), are the requirements met with out of the box configurations? etc.,

Reviewing the documentation related to Plugin, Workflow, Customization will help identify the right approach in your case.

    Hope this helps.
