Integration from SAAS Business Central

Dear All,

I need to pick the transactions from Business Central running as SAAS and integrated them to another system that's onprem.
If Business Central was onPrem I would have used Sql queries in my integration application, but I am not sure on what approach am going to use to pull transactions from SAAS.
How do you do it? Kindly assist.

RomRyan

    Hi,

you can publish the Web services in SaaS and consume them into your OnPrem version.

    Thanks.

It depends a little of what your need is. If you want small volumes of data you should look at the Business Central API's that is available.

    learn.microsoft.com/.../

If they do not cover your need you can also create custom API.

If you want larger data volumes if can be an option to transfer data from BC to Azure datalakes.

    github.com/.../bc2adls

I hope this helps you further.

    Hi

if your system can make REST calls you can expose Web Services from BC and read the information you need:

    learn.microsoft.com/.../api-overview

manually instead you could export the information via configuration packages that create excel files for you:

    https://yzhums.com/4286/

THE alternative solution is to install an onpremis data gateway on your network:

    learn.microsoft.com/.../service-gateway-onprem-indepth

and with a logic app allow BC to save the files in your onprem folder

    regards

Hi, you can using APIs or Webservice.

    For example,

    Web Service:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/webservices/web-services

    API page:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/devenv-api-pagetype

    And Standard API: https://yzhums.com/6117/

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    ZHU
