    Hi Nia

We had the exact request and these are answers we received. But I hope your question help us to see if any other way is possible. We do not use Warehouse modules in BC.

    Our suggestions were:

    1) Run MRP for the location and generate transfer order. We are using this method now.

    2) Consider development for this task. The suggestion was at the time of "Release" BC checked Location/item then what is on hand and what is needed then generate Transfer Order. The process is easier if we have one central location to send items to required location. Otherwise, some logics require. For instance, check all locations and see which one has extra items to transfer, or build a relationship table and tell system location B can receive item from which other locations.

    Thanks

    Nia,

This Forum in for Business Central and the NAV Forum is here: community.dynamics.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-nav-forum

Here is the answer to your question...

To create automated Transfers, via replenishment, you first setup Stockkeeping Units for the Locations and the Location that Receives the Transfer, from say the Main Warehouse, has Replenishment System = TRANSFER. You can setup Planning Parameters for Reorder Points/Min-Max, so when the Inventory is low it will auto-Transfer based on Inventory count.

Now run the Requisition Worksheet/Planning Worksheet MRP and Transfer Order will auto appear, based on Transfer Demand.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
