Word Quote Template Not Displaying Product Numbers

I have developed my own word template off of an example I found. I have no problem showing the product name, price, qty......The only thing I cant get to show is the Product Number. I have used productid but only the name shows up.

Example:

The Product Name and Product ID are the same. The Product numbers do not show up.

I will try but did not see that as one of the choices from the xml mapping.

I'm sorry, I should have said Product ID instead of Product Number. Product Number is just the label for the field.

I think you may be using the wrong field. Try using productnumber not productid.

productid and productidname are the same on document templates.

Product Number is not the name of the field in CRM it is just the label i made. Product ID and Product Name are two different fields in the CRM product catalog. Reference below.

In my word quote template I want the Product ID and Product Name to show up in the quote. Whenever I list productid from the xml mapping of the quotedetail, the product name is repeated in the productid block instead of the productid.. Hope that helps clarify some things.

Hi cpickett,

The problem is that in the Word template, you just have the "quote product" entity fields for the table. But you want a field (Product ID) from the "product" entity.

The solution for this is to create a field called "Product ID" in the "quote product" and fill it in a plugin.

So, you can use it in your Word Template.

If you do not want to develop a plugin, you must use SSRS reports instead of Word template.
