Security For Master Planning

Hello, 

I am wandering what the out-of-the-box security is needed to access Master planning>Master Planning>Run>Master plan? 

This is one of those cases where a dialogue box opens so I cannot go to "Options>security diagnostics.


I also tried to run task recording but it wont let me save the recording so I cannot see what roles were recorded.

    Hi Brook,

    Here are the security objects:

    Role: Production planner (ReqProductionPlanner)

    Duty: Maintain master scheduling (ReqMasterSchedulingMaintain)

    Privilege: Run master scheduling for items (ReqCalcScheduleItemProcess)

    Can you also tell if you get an error or what else happens when you try to save a recording? Note that this menu item is a type 'action' which are not visible using the security diagnostics for task recordings.     In this scenario, I got the information from Visual Studio.

    The duty "Maintain master scheduling" worked. Thank you.

    The dialogue box to save the task recordings eventually showed up after a long time (about 15-20 minutes later). You are right, there were no security shown on the recordings. Luckily you gave me some insight. Thanks again.
