Need a unique number for Opportunities

Does the CRM automatically assign each lead a system generated unique ID? If yes we need it similarly for Opportunity where can i find?

Change auto-numbering prefixes for contracts, cases, articles, quotes, orders, invoices, campaigns, categories, and knowledge articles cannot be done for opportunities why?

ITS GIVING ME A NEW ENTITY BUT I NEED THE UNIQUEID IN old opportunity entity oly @Indika
