CRM 2011 Run Workflow button disable issue

Hi,

I have run into an issue with the "Run Workflow" and "Dialog" button.  I would like to disable both buttons on the ribbon of the Process section.

I have a "user A" with the security role called "Equi" for example.

When I set the "Execute Workflow Job" to "None" under the Miscellaneous Privileges of the Customization Tab in the Security Role setting for security role "Equi", I was hoping the "Run Workflow" and "Dialog" buttons would be disabled in the ribbon.  However, it is not the case.  The buttons are enabled when "user A" login regardless for any entities.

I have implemented the same change by setting the "Execute Workflow Job" to "None" in the Development environment and the buttons are disabled.

It works in development but not in staging.

What can be the causes for it to enabled in the staging environment even though the user security role set to "None" on both?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

In Security Role, Entity Process should be configured to revoke read permissions

    Hi,

I removed the read permission of the "Process" for that security role.  When I login, the buttons are disabled, but as soon as I select a record of an entity (contact), the buttons get enabled again.  In Development, I don't have to revoke the read permission, and the buttons are disabled when login and when I select the record.

Any ideas what cause this behavior?

    Thanks,

you should check if they are members of any teams which can also have security roles

    Hi,

I verify the team and you have pointed me to the correct direction.

    Thank you.
