Hello Ric,

The Answer is "Yes" the data got saved if the length is less than or equal to the previous length in your case i.e. 500.

Hi,

Your Admin user has to publish the customization to take affect the latest change.

You should probably do production deploying during weekend to avoide any issue with End user .

Yes, what would happen if the end user currently entering data in the field and admin hits publish

to complete the deployment. Would the data get saved if end user hit save after the new field been published? (because user started entering data before published, but no published)

Hello Ric,

Still the answer is "Yes" the data got saved as even after publishing the changes if he didn't refreshes his page the page will consider the old length and save the field with the provided data whose length is <= old limit i.e. 500.
