Switch instance sandbox to production (during trial period)

Hello All,

I am new to MS Dynamics CRM and recently registered for a trial so i can try out different things to understand the system. With the trial i got a production instance. I wanted to try out how backup & restore works. I wasn't able to restore the production backup, hence i switched the production instance to sandbox. Upon doing that all my backups show as Sandbox instance types.

But now i want switch the Sandbox to Production instance type and i don't see any option to do that. Can someone please help? I read an article and it says you need to have a unused Production license. But since i am working on a trial period, how do i get back the Production instance that i had when i registered for trial period?

    Hi,

You should be able to that similary you switched to sandbox. You can click edit button under instances under admin center and you can change your sandbox environment to production under general setting. I just tried it, worked form me.

    Thanks

I wanted to mention that for some reason i did have 2 instances in the trail version, due to which i was unable to see the 2 options in the Instance Type drop down. I had to delete one of the instances, only then everything worked as expected. I don't know how did that happen in the trial instance, but never mind its fixed now. Thanks guys for your help!
