The package cache .alpackages could not be found Error when downloading Symbols

Hi,

I am getting the following error when trying to download symbols.  Previously I was able to download symbols. I have D365 EXTENSION MGT and D365 FULL ACCESS. Recently my BC was updated from platform version 16 to 18. Any idea what could be the cause of this?

 Error:

The package cache c:\Users\Documents\AL\ALProject2\./.alpackages could not be found.

I have the same question (0)

Thank you Marco. I tried clearing all the things the post listed, but still have the same error. I checked my tenant ID and environment name, and they are correct.

The post mentions that there were "two instances" that were causing their problem. Do you know what they are referring to?

    Hello,

Answer to - The post mentions that there were "two instances" that were causing their problem. Do you know what they are referring to?

They  made two different instances(server instance like BC180 on the BC on prem admin console) on the machine and  launch.json file they used was pointing to a wrong instance , thats why they were not able to download symbols.

Launch.json defines connection to server information.

Thank you Tanya, now I understand. I am running in the cloud so I don't think this is my issue. At this point I am a bit stuck, I've double checked permissions, and that I am connected to the right tenant and sandbox. I also cleared the editor history and credential cache.

Maybe there is an issue with the sandbox? I am going to create a new one and try to connect.

Yes , this isn't your case, as you are trying to connect the  SAAS version.

Let us know after creating a new one :)

    Hello,

If this is SaaS you can raise a support call via Partner Center.

    Thanks.

Thank Marco for the help! I ended up figuring it out. My admin was back testing some features and switching between versions of BC.

    Hello,

Great work you figured it out and glad there was in the end no real issue.

    Thanks.
