Hi,
I have created a Solution in the default environment, which is currently in use. I have our Dynamics 365 Business Central connected to this environment and the solution is used as a CRM system by our sales team. After looking into this best practice is to not use the default environment.
My issue is that Business Central can only, I think, point to one environment. I don't want our team to be without the App in the solution as it is used every day so therefore I plan on doing the following - but want a little confidence that I am doing it correctly:-
1) Create a new Sandbox in BC
2) Create a new environment
3) Connect the Sandbox to this environment
4) Create the solution within the environment (can I just export it from the original?)
5) Once I have tested everything in the sandbox and it is all working remove the connection from BC to the default environment and recreate the connection to the new environment
6) Import all the data from the default environment
Does that all make sense? Any comments or advice very much appreciated.
