CRM Online Word Template - Maximum Number of Repeating Rows

Hi guys,

I have a Word template set up that exports a list of all Contacts against an Account, however when I export it I am missing some Contacts that I know exist in the system. I can't see any obvious errors, so I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a maximum number of repeating rows allowed in a table with the word templates? If there is, are there any known workarounds?

I can't see any documentation for this, so would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

Hi Ryan

Can you check the pattern of contacts that are missing?

In your account you might have both active and inactive contacts

I have had a similar template but no. Was never an issue.

Could you also tell me how many contacts did u managed to get on d template?

Hi Prashant,

I've checked for active vs inactive contacts, however that's not the issue. I have 256 contacts against one of my Accounts, but only the first 100 are being pulled through onto the template. That's what led me to ask my questions

Hi Ryan

In that case I would suggest you to raise a ticket to Microsoft coz no documentation is available for this

Yes there is a limit:

Quote:

"To ensure documents download in a timely matter, there is an upper limit of 100 for the number of related records returned for each relationship. For example, if you’re exporting a template for an account, and you want to include a list of its contacts, the document will return at most 100 of the account’s contacts."

Thanks Pawel, I obviously missed that when I was reading that link. I wonder if there are any workarounds possible?

This is ANOTHER reason using Dynamics Docs, which creates word templates for Synamics CRM, but with no limitation of 100 records.

Other benefits:

1. Rich text is kept as rich text formatting in the generated document

2. Logical Expressions to hide/display text based on logical conditions

3. Filtering records using CRM Views
