Warning Message with Currency Rollup Field

I have 3 Rollup fields below: Total Insertions (whole number), Total Ad Pages (whole number), and Total Net Cost (currency). These are simple Sum Rollup fields, calculating the sum of the respective fields for all related records in the subgrid above.

When I recalculate the whole number Rollup fields, everything works well. However, when I try recalculate the currency Rollup field, I am prompted with this warning. Once I press OK, the calculation works properly. I'm looking for away to either bypass or disable this warning message.

Hi,

Even I have also started noticing this error on all my currency rollup field. I even tried it in vanilla org and the issue appears there as well. It looks like a bug in the update version.

Mine is 1612 [8.2.2.1161]

I hope this will get fixed in the next patch release

Hi there,

I am also recently(today) getting this error message appearing and the development has a ton of rollups. I changed the type of rollup field from currency precision to pricing decimal precision but it made no difference, message still appeared. If you find a way, please let me know.

I am noticing the same issue in our environment as well. Hopefully Microsoft fixes this soon...

Here is the latest from Microsoft yesterday, guess its a known issue. WHAT A PAIN. :(

"To give you an update on this issue, this is a known issue which got into the system with 8.2.2.1161 update (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4078184 ) “An "Enter a value" dialog occurs when recalculating rollup values under certain conditions”

This bug is expected to fix in next release 8.2.2.1259 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4078185 )."

The problem comes and goes for us.

Even weirder: On some records, hitting the button works perfectly. On other records, we get the same warning message as mentionned by @sandfordhbrown.

The field type is Decimal. It worked fine for a few years but the problem starter following a solution update. We use the same CRM version for several months.

Maybe this will help others, maybe not, but here is what fixed it for us.

On the entity, we had another rollup field. The behaviour for this rollup had yet to be defined, so there was no logic in the field configuration.

As soon as we configured the field (Aggregation section), everything went back to normal for all fields.
