How to set saved view as the default in Business Central via AL

Hello Community,

I am trying to set a saved view as the default for a list page in Business Central, but I haven't found a direct way to retrieve the View ID.

Scenario:

  1. Users apply a saved view on a list page (e.g., Sales Order List).
  2. I want to add an action button called "Set as Default View".
  3. When clicked, this should save the active view so that next time the page opens, it loads with that view.
  4. The challenge is that each saved view has a unique View ID, but AL does not provide a method to retrieve it (only GetView() which gives filters, not the View ID).
  5. I need a way to get the View ID and apply it dynamically when the user opens the page.

What I Have Tried:

  1. Using GetView() to retrieve filters, but this does not point to the saved view.
  2. Constructing a URL manually (&view=xxxxxxx), but I don't know how to get the actual View ID.
  3. Searching for a table or codeunit that stores the View ID, but I couldn’t find any.

Questions:

  1. Is there a way to get the View ID of the currently selected view in AL?
  2. Does Business Central store this ID in any internal table or metadata?

Thank you @Khushbu Rajvi. for a reply, but that does not fully solve my issue. I want to open the exact same saved view using its specific View ID. Currently, it applies the filter of that view, but I need to ensure that the exact saved view (with its View ID) is opened.

Also, does anyone know where these View IDs are stored in Business Central?
