Purchase lead time with working days for vendor

Need help to set up purchase lead time in 'Default order settings' for the below scenario:

If a vendor is only delivering on specific days in a week (indicated in the vendor calendar as 'Open') and  purchase lead time is set up with 'working days' option checked, then the purchase order delivery date is calculated too late, considering the lead time based on the specific days set up in the vendor calendar.

But in case  the working days in the purchase lead time is unchecked, then it cannot take into account the specific delivery days in the week to calculate the delivery date on PO.

any suggestions on how to set up the purchase lead time to take into consideration the specific delivery days of the vendor?

I have the same question (1)

    Hi DR,

The coverage group also has calendar setup.

Have you tried setting up the replica calendar of vendor  and assigning a new coverage group to these Items  and tagging the coverage group  with new calendar?

    Hi DR,

Could you elaborate the meaning of ‘then the purchase order delivery date is calculated too late’ ?

If you want to consider the specific delivery days of the vendor (the control in the vendor calendar is ‘open’) for lead time, the system will calculate these working days.

What effect do you want to achieve? Can you give an example?

    Hi QianQW

    Thanks for your response.

If the vendor is delivering one day in a week, then the PO delivery date is calculated 5 weeks later if 'working days' is set up.

But in actual the lead time is around 5 days after the delivery date of the vendor.

    Hi DR,

From the updated reply, you say that ‘the PO delivery date is calculated 7 weeks later’, are you setting the lead time to 7 in the default order settings?

‘But in actual the lead time is around 5 days after the delivery date of the vendor‘, do you mean that actual delivery date is later than suggested delivery date in PO? So what is connection between the lead time ‘7’ with 5 days in the last sentence?

Could you give an example of the specific delivery date and lead time settings you want?

    Regards,

    QianQW

I have updated the previous post.

do you mean that actual delivery date is later than suggested delivery date in PO => D365 delivery date is after 5 weeks (as per open days in the calendar) but it in actual it is 5 days after vendor delivery.

    Hi Ganesh,

yes, tried this.  Result is same as setting lead time with working days in default order settings / purchase price trade agreement.

    Thanks,

    DR

while default order and default on item is for item level, you could also leverage trade agreement lead time

Try using delivery date control functionality available at parameter's level for purchase

Yes, i can leverage the lead time at trade agreement level. But the lead time calculation is not matching the specific delivery dates of the vendor when 'Working days' is selected.
