Deletion of Putaway & PO Receipt

Hello,

one of my users deleted both the registered putaway and the PO receipt and now i cannot recreate either as the PO now thinks it is receipted and is not available as a source document. To fix: do i need to use an item journal to move my stock back to an 'IN' location and then recreate the receipt again? We are using advanced warehouse configuration.

Many thanks

I have the same question (0)

As long as you have correct transactions in your Item Ledger Entries. Do you really need to recreate them?

Thanks for replying - the item ledger entries look ok to me.  I was just worried that if we deleted the receipt and Putaway we would have orphan records.

No. You will not. The transactional data in your system should still be consistent.

You will miss some document entities but that does not compromise the audit trail or transaction consistency.

    So you should be safe.

    Hi, just adding some info.

Although this is not recommended, in fact in this system except for the Entries table, All posted Documents can be deleted.

But there are some standard controls.

    For example,

    pastedimage1675728416717v4.png

    pastedimage1675728350970v1.png

    pastedimage1675728356905v2.png

    pastedimage1675728543135v5.png

These may affect some reports, but not general ledger data so Microsoft allows deletion.

Hope this can give you some hitns as well.

    Thanks.
