Hi

Question from a friend:

Is it any add on for BC SaaS to be utilized for Retail management (such as retail shop or restaurant)? Or it is not recommended to use BC SaaS for such a purpose?

I am aware of LS Central software but looks like that is on-prem version.

Thanks

LS Retail is now also available in the cloud.

But there are also other options available that pretty easy can be integrated into BC Cloud.

Hi, for LS Retail, you can request a demo to try it out.

    https://www.lsretail.com/request-a-demo-retail?products=ls-central

And you might also consider Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail. However, there is currently no standard connector with BC, and it needs to go through Dataverse or APIs, which is relatively troublesome.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Thanks Mr Bruvik and Zhu

I saw LS Central and in their onboarding for SaaS customers they mentioned " In that case, you can request a migration of the environment from a Business Central environment on the shared cluster to an LS Central environment on the embed cluster. The first step in the process is to create a support ticket with MS requesting the migration"

Is this means clients move their SaaS to LS Central managed environment and hence all upgrade and maintenance will be provided by LS Central? I never heard of this before. Do you know what this process exactly do? and if it is recommended?

    Thanks

It is correct that LS Retail are working as an embedded app:

    learn.microsoft.com/.../embed-app-overview

That means that the partner (LS Retail) have more control over what other apps can be added to that environment. So that is why they will ask you to move to an embedded tenant.

    Thanks Mr Bruvik

I was not aware of such an option. This was really helpful. Thanks for the info
