Warehouse field on the Purchase order header goes blank while firming the Planned purchase order

Facing an issue with the planned orders firming.
When I firm a planned purchase order (and set it to group by vendor), the warehouse field on the Purchase order header gets set to blank even the warehouse on all the planned purchase orders is same. Does anyone know what could be the root cause?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi User,

Is that also the case when you don't group it by vendor?

The issue is caused by the Group by Vendor.... which is combining two different items from different warehouse and site firming into a single Purchase Order. As a result, the Site and Warehouse information is not appearing at the header level.

    Hi,

This happens because when firming with “Group by vendor”, D365 doesn’t populate the warehouse on the PO header unless it’s explicitly set during the grouping process. Even if all planned orders share the same warehouse, the system leaves the header blank by default.

    Hope this helps,

I don't understand why you see this issue. In my testing, provided the Warehouse on the Planned orders is the same, the Warehouse on the Purchase order header is set.... even if Group by vendor is selected.

I tested with both new Planning Optimisation and old planning. I can't think of any parameter that might control this behaviour.
