Business Central Dynamics 365 - 1099 updated form formats for 2022

It appears that once again the 1099 formats have changed for 2022.  When will these new formats be implemented into Business Central Dynamics, so test printing for alignment can be performed.  This has been an issue for use for two years with the updated form formats.

Hi D. I found this information:

1099 changes for 2022 provide an upgrade for the MISC and DIV boxes.

    • Some of the boxes will be shifted in all 1099 reports.
    • A calendar year is added in the top right corner in printouts.
    • For the MISC report, the position of the FATCA mark is different. There are no changes in the sequence of text elements for the Magnetic Media.

The additions are relevant for the reporting year 2022

Hi, as mentioned by Marco, in fact, this is not a feature that all versions have, for example, 1099 does not exist in the W1 version.

You can also submit this problem to the Yammer Group below, the person responsible for localization should be able to help you.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

I think this is only applicable to UK, but I am not that sure about this if US has it as well. If the format again does not match, please raise it to Microsoft via your partner or CSP.

    Thank you.

I'm sorry I don't understand.  I do not know what you mean when you say "a localization feature." The IRS changed the formats of the forms again (at the least for the 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC, the two I will be needing to print at year end), so when we use the 1099 print option in Business Central the alignment will not match the correct boxes on the IRS forms, if something is not updated again.  It had to be changed last year to make the "then new format for 2021," so why will it not be changed again this year to match the new 2022 form formats. Of course, the format being changed in Business Central last year was a big issue and if I remember correctly, it didn't even happen until after year end.

Hi, 1099 formats is a localization feature and I don't see any plans to update it at the moment.
