Purchase Order Attachment Size Becomes 0 Bytes After Posting

Hello everyone,

We have implemented Azure Blob Storage integration for handling purchase order attachments in Business Central. The setup works perfectly for uploading and managing attachments at the Purchase Order level in the production environment. However, we encountered an issue where:

The attachment uploads correctly before posting the Purchase Order.
After posting the Purchase Order, the attachment size appears as 0 bytes.
There are no errors during the upload or posting process, and the attachment metadata seems intact.
Has anyone experienced similar behavior with attachments linked to Azure Blob Storage after document posting?

  • What could cause the attachment size to reset to 0 bytes after posting?
  • Are there any known triggers or events during posting that might clear or reset attachment data?
  • Could this be related to the way Business Central handles blob streams or temp blobs during posting?
  • What are the best practices to ensure attachments remain intact and maintain their size after document posting with Azure Blob storage?

Any insights, debugging approaches, or code samples to handle this scenario would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

    Hi
Have you developed this functionality? Have you modified anything from the standard?
