We have two items with 0 quantities in the bins but are unable to remove the bins.

The bins are in Quantity Type "returned" and "service".

You would first have to bring the quantities to 0 by doing a decrease adjustment before you are able to remove the bins.

Are there any stock count schedule?  If there is an item with the bins you are trying to remove on a stock count, the message you will get is 'Item has pending transaction'.

Remove the item from the stock count.

Once a month, after Accounting closes the month, I run...

Inventory >> Utilities >> Remove Bins

I select the FROM radio button in the "Bins to Remove" section and then select the first SITE in my list of Sites in the top field and the last SITE in my list of sites, in the second field.

Next, I select the radio button for "Item/Site Records Only" from the Remove Bins from:  section.

Finally I hit PROCESS.  This then runs through the IV00112 table and removes any rows where the QUANTITY = 0 on an 'Item/Site/Bin" line.

This leaves the BIN in place for future use, but all those lines of ZEROS will not show up on the BIN QUANTITY INQUIRY Window.

If you want the BIN itself to be removed, select the radio button "Sites and Item/Site Records" in the 'Remove Bins From: and this will delete the Site/BIN combination.

Hope this is what you were looking to do...
