Customer/Item Sales report incorrect

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 544
Hi

I have an item that was sold on a particular day to a particular customer only. If I run the item sales report from Inventory, I get the correct profit figure that shows that that they made a tiny loss. However, when I run the Customer/Item sales report it shows a Massive profit figure suggesting the cost of the item was a negative.

Has anyone else had issues with this report. It doesn't seem to be the case with all items.
This is the report from Customer Item sales report ( this is the standard report in BC)

And this is the report from Item sales statistics for the same day (Only sold to 1 customer)

If I run the reports with no date range then I balance 100%
I have the same question (0)

Check the Value entries for this transaction - might be there was Original Cost (low, therefore the profit is high), and Adjusted Cost (higher cost, so the profit is lower)...
And could be that the cost adjustment was done on different date - and You can see that in Value Entries - Posting Date.

Hi, agree with KasparsSemjonovs, this may be caused by exchange rate adjustments or item charges. Please check Value Entires.

    Hope this helps as well.
    Thanks.
