Hi All,

I have a question, we just upgraded to gp2013 and there are a lot of features that seem to be missing. Recently I receive a request from one of our users she said that in gp2010 there was a print option on Bill of materials view and Bill of material Entry and is missing in gp2013. I did some research and  cannot find how to activate that feature, If any one can help me out it will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Just to double check, but this is the CORE GP 2013 BOM product and not a 3rd Party add on?

Not a 3rd party option. I'm not too familiar with GP2013 but as she explained to me she was able to have the Print to screen or print option in 2010.

    Eleazer,

Have you tried clicking on the File button in the ribbon to see if you can click print from there?

Leslie Vail pointed out a new Dex.ini entry, which suppresses the new ribbon design, which might help as well.

Thank you Harry for the response. I did click in the File button and there is no print option but I tried the link you provided and that solved the issue, It took the ribbon back to the old 2010 look but the users have all their features back. It would be nice to find a fix that would add the new feature to the GP2013 ribbon.

Thank you for the Response Harry. I did try the File button but the print feature was not there. I tried the link you provided and the work fine, It took the GP2013 ribbon to look like GP2010 and brought all the features back. It would be nice to have a fix and be able to keep the GP2013 look but this will work for now.

    Thank you,

    Eleazar

    Hi Eleazar,

The 'fix' that mentioned by Leslie Vail in her blog post is actually a new settings from the User Preferences... : The Window Command Display. It works for all future version of GP.

Though this looks like a bug, as Microsoft seems to have forgot to put the 'print' icon back into the Action Pane for the BOM Entry form.
