hi experts

I am continually facing one issue related to -ve qty in warehouse bins especially if I want to move something from warehouse putaway to bin like when i receive an article from return or from po and I try to transfer to their putaway or pick a location I have this error.

error message

Quantity (Base) available must not be less than 88 in Bin Content-Location Code='EXOTIC',Bin Code='H2.RECEIVE.01',Item No.='F2675',Variant Code='',Unit of Measure Code='BOX'.

how to rectify this error

your help will be highly appreciated.

Hi, I'm not sure, did you set Min. Qty in Bin Contents?

Hi

No, I didn’t set any min or max qty right now. But we put -ve an adjustment for stock updating. And some articles show net invoiced in -ve amount is that related to this?

also in Putaway, I see qty like 850 but when I go to bin content qty is different from what I have in putaway.

Hi

The error means there’s a mismatch between the item’s physical and system quantities. You can fix it by reviewing the item’s bin contents, posting pending warehouse documents, and recalculating warehouse adjustments to bring bin and item quantities back in sync.

Hi,

This occurs when the system validates available quantity in the bin before posting a movement. If you have negative adjustments or negative invoiced amounts, they can cause mismatches between Item Ledger Entries and Warehouse Entries, leading to this error.

Reviewing Warehouse Register can help identify where the mismatch occurs.

Have you checked if the negative adjustments were posted directly to the item ledger without updating warehouse entries?
