TCO comparison between CRM OnPremises and CRM Online

We recently had a workshop with our customers to demo features of CRM Online and one very requested topic was a comparison of costs between the OnPremises and public cloud variants of Dynamics CRM.

So I prepared this Excel calculator which takes input: number of years, return rate, CRM Online monthly cost, licenses and hardware and outputs a chart with the break even point between the two editions of CRM.

The formula takes into account the Workgroup Edition of CRM 2011 and also switches from Server+CAL to SQL Core licensing after 13 users. On more thing to note is that I used the PV (present value) formula for future payments like the CRM Online monthly rate and the yearly costs for On Premises.
