To create SSRS Report (SQL base, without using Fetch XML) and deploy report in Dynamics 365.

In order to create reports without fetch xml you have to create your own custom reports from scratch.

You must have the required development tools and appropriate privileges in CRM2015 to write and deploy report. To know more use this link.

Once you have it, create the report project in Visual studio and add the new report.

Add Data source for the report and provide connection details as shown in below screen shot:

Connection string:  Data Source=[Your SQL Server];Initial Catalog=[Organization database of CRM205]

Once data source is connected, add data set where you can use the SQL query to pull data from your SQL view.

To deploy a report in Dynamics 365:

Sign in to CRM2015 and then go to Sales > Reports.

    1. On the command bar, click on New.
    2. In the Report: New Report dialog box – Select Existing File in the Report Type list. Click on Browse and specify the location of the .rdl file in the File Location box.
    3. Enter appropriate data in the Details section of the Report: New Report dialog box.
    4. Click on Save and Close.

You can test the report by selecting it from Available Reports list.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
