Hi all,

Is there any way to change single line of text field to Option set field of Managed Fields.On contact entity i need to change the 'State/Province' field to option set,Which is Inbuilt field.

Sorry its not, but you could implement the autocomplete feature to have a drop down list to select available states.

E.g:

www.powerobjects.com/.../double-down-with-crm-2016-introducing-two-new-features-web-api-and-autocomplete

you could also use it with static list depending on what you want:

msdn.microsoft.com/.../mt607648.aspx

Hi,

We Don't have option to change data type of Existing fields. You can change data type of custom fields only. For Custom fields also we have few limitations. As per my knowledge, it can't be done.

If you are not going to use the composite control (address1_composite), you can create a new field (new_statecode) for the list of states. When the record is saved/updated, have your plugin code copy the data from the optionset to the actual address1_stateorprovince field.

This will only work if you get rid of the composite control...
