Hello folks,

  1. Dicussed issue back in 2010,  I wonder if there is any updated fix to this.
  2. I have GP 10.00.1835 SP 5 and I am upgradign it with GP2010 ver. 2010.00.1914.
  3. The error message I am getting is to "Remove of temporary tables at the database level failed."
  4. I saw this issue being discussed back in 2010 but all of 4 companies in my Test environment ( I have only one live DB, two emplty DB and sample Fabrikam, too)
  5. In my DB maintennace option, I can see only Dynamics  and not other 2+1 company DBs.
  6. the upgrade is failing, not being able to remove temporary tables and listing 4 tables( GL10110, GL10111, GL70500 & GL70501) cann't be updated.
  7. I tried to upgrade all 4 one by one but ending up with the same output.

Any idea, help or tip

Are you moving the databases to a new server? Often times we see issues with these tables due to the Dynamnics.dic file not being synched. Try setting the synch line in the Dex.ini to true and see if that helps.

    Thanks Jonathan,

Yes, I have a sandbox where I retored a copy of 10.00.1400 DB & updated to 10.00.1835 and then installed GP 2010 and updated 11.00.1914 but somehow first it failed on GL10110, 10111,70500 & 70501 tables then so many other issue to complete freeze and hang-up.

Finally I deleteled all the 10.00.1835 DBs and then started with Fabrikam only which is working now but I am going to try upgrade/update again from 10.00.1835 to 2010 (11.00.1914) and will remember your tip.

    Thanks again

+1 on Jonathan's Reply.  Moved to a new server and did a clean install of GP 2010 but for some reason had to manually change the Synchronize line to TRUE after the update of the DYNAMICS db.  The companies upgraded fine after changing that line.
