Automatically copy Notes/Posts/Activities from Opportunity to linked contact and account

HI together,

I've got to solve a problem and it would be awesome if someone maybe would have a solution for this or a link to a solution.

The task is:
If a Note/Posts/Activities in an Opportunity is updated/written, it should be displayed/synchronized in the linked Contact and Account as well.
Is this possible? And how could I reach this?

And there just came a offtopic question:
is it possible to write a link in the Notes like it is possible in Posts?
(e.g.: if you write an "@" and take an existing contact/account in the posts, it is linked to the linked record)

Many many thanks in advance and best regards

Mick

    Hi Mick,

Notes, Posts & Activities are 3 completely different type of entities in CRM.

Activities: You don't need to worry about these. These by default rollup to the parent Account/ Contact record.

Notes: This doesn't roll up automatically. However you can create a real time workflow which triggers on create of notes and hcek if it is for opportunity, if it is then create 2 new note record with the same title & description and set the regarding as Opportunity account & Opportunity Contact. Do not you won't be able to move the attachment if exists.

Posts: I haven't tried this but thinks that concept would be same as Notes.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

You need to handle them using workflow or plugin code as suggested.  No notes is a simple text area using @ with contact/account won't link them to related records.

    Hi guys,

thanks for your thoughts and ideas.

Notes: I'm gonna try to reach this over a workflow. I recovered a solution of J. Lattimer (CRM-Note-Workflow-Utilities) (github.com/.../CRM-Note-Workflow-Utilities)

But first I try it myself the way you described.

Posts: I don't really know, if Posts are handable as Posts. They seem to be different. But I try it after copying notes is successful.

    Activities: Sure. I forgot.
