Hi team,

Can we automatically add a certain user group to newly added team members in Business Central?

Currently, when we assign the Team Member license to newer team members, automatically D365 Team Member user group, Automate Action user group, and Excel Export User group are added to the individual's profile.
I would like to make a certain user group default rather than the one we have automatically.

Hi, user Group has been replaced by Security Group in the latest version, and I'm not sure whether the previous method works.

the user groups you refer to have basic permissions and doesn't really matter cause those are quite minimum level permissions. you need to determine what are the best user group or groups to assign new users to after analyzing their tasks, job functions so their permission sets align well with the user groups assigned to.

default new users with certain type of license is not best practice and doesn't make sense in security management.
