Can I import my own geospatial visualizations to Dynamics CRM 2013 and display on dashboard?

Greetings,

I belong to a GIS team and want to integrate GIS with Dynamics CRM 2013.  I am aware of all the tools that are available (i.e. Esri maps, PowerMaps, MapDotNet, etc).  However, I want to know if I can integrate our own geospatial data and visualizations with Dynamics CRM 2013 and post my own visualizations to a dashboard without having to utilize Esri, PowerMaps, etc.

If so may somebody provide a link to peruse or start a discussion with me?

Thanks

    J.O,

What map you use in your own geospatial data?

    Thanks.

If you have your web application for your GIS application and can accept some parameters that the web resource can handle then having them on the form as web resource is an option. Ref: msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg327945.aspx

    Hi Eileen,

Sorry for the delay in my reply.  Currently custom geospatial visualizations are being developed in Flex SDK.

    Hi,

You can use Different DB to store geospatial data, and develop a silver light control or web page where you can utilize this data to show it in Dynamics CRM. We have done similar implementation where we loaded geospatial data in another db and developed silver light web resource to show that data over CRM 2011 dashboard.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

This is just about the answer I was looking for.  You speak of actually utilizing the data;  my GIS team develops custom geospatial visualizations utilizing Flex SDK, we want to display the custom visualizations developed in Flex SDK on CRM dashboard.  How would I go about doing that?  Web Resource?  iFrame?   You stated, "...show that DATA over CRM

2011 dashboard."  May I just show the visualization?

    Hello,

I don't have experience with Flex SDK, for you that you need to check integration possibilities of flex SDK controls with .net. How you currently you are accessing your visualizations ?? Can you use then in any .net web application if yes then you should be able to do that in CRM dashboard as well.

You might find this article interesting and informative, regarding using the chart pane to display a map through a web resource, related to the records in the grid:
