Creating a Word Document Template (with conditional switching)

Hi all

I'd like to know if there are any means of creating a Word Document Template in Dynamics CRM which would facilitate the content of the Template to be switched, either based on a placeholder value passed in to the document, or by means of prompt to the user at the point of producing the letter.

For example if an entity value or question equals A, then display Paragraph A, if it is equal to B, display Paragraph B etc.

I did happen upon this article - http://crmtipoftheday.com/2016/08/24/conditional-values-in-word-templates/  but it's not the most ideal solution (I was thinking something along the lines of a Dialog or Workflow which could potentially achieve this?).

Thanks

Michael

Since CRM isn't actually dynamically generating Word documents, just mapping data to the Word template, I don't think you're going to get what you need out of the box.

Aside from putting the logic into Word like you linked, you'd be looking at code.

Maybe the Documents Core Pack addon has something that can help: www.mscrm-addons.com/.../DocumentsCorePack
