Data Driven Subscription Replacement

Posted on by 534
Hi all

We recently upgraded our ERP from GP2015R2 to GP18.5. We also upgraded SQL from 2012 to 2022.

We had many reports using data driven subscriptions. Our current SQL edition is Standard which means we no longer can use data driven subscriptions on SSRS. One of the reports uses a generated list of records to save a pdf file to a specific location, one for each record.

We have investigated and was able to use a combination of power automate and a power bi paginated report to replicate the above process. Unfortunately, we get an error because we do not have PowerBI premium capacity.

Does anyone have a work around or a different solution we can try?

Did you try external tools like R-Tag and Roby?

    Hi Judy

Thank you for the reply. We have created the flow as suggested in the post. My question is more around how we can do it without having reserved capacity.

    Hi,

I am not familiar with power Automate, however, based on the Microsoft Document, below are the steps of perquisites to follow to export the report in power automate.
    • At least one workspace in your power bi tenant backend by a reserved capacity.
    • This capacity can be any of the A1/EM1-A6/P3 SKUs
If you have further concern, please post on the Power Automate Forum for more professional help.

    Best Regards,
    Judy
