How to support different currencies with integrated EFT terminals in store

Hi,

I wanted to know how to setup different payment methods for a store with "pay card" which support multiple currency cards. We have single EFT terminal and card reader integrated with our POS in store. Now if a customer come with different currency card, how will we accept it.

Do we have to setup separate payment method for store, currency conversion, different accounts for payment methods. Is it even possible to add different payment method with same "Pay card " POS operation.

It will be helpful if any one guide me how to setup it in D365FO.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Sumit,

I believe these articles below can help you:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/payment-methods - if you look all other menus related to credit card processing and payment connector, this would help you as well.

docs.microsoft.com/.../set-up-payment-card-types-and-card-numbers-retail-essentials (the link id from AX2012, but the same is valid for D365)

Currency exchange rate type should be set in addition in Retail shared parameters so the store can use exchange rates from there:

Thank you Ramune. We do have same setup. The issue is we wanted to use different ledger account for different currency. How will we setup it because we have only one Payment method with Pay card operation and we have single account associated with it. However on card Setup we can have different accounts but on the basis of card type (Visa, Master etc)we can not differentiate the currency of payment.

    Hi Sumit,

Regarding getting multiple currencies from the Adyen connector - authorizations will always come back in the Store's currency.
Merchants can allow customers to select their home currency for the transaction if they want, but the conversion is on the Adyen side and even in those cases the store's currency will always be used for the authorization response.

Due to that there is no possibility in standard to separate transactions per currency from the credit card and post them to different ledger account.
