How to search for all users with a specific security role?

I tried doing an Advanced Find under 'Users' and then using the 'Related' security role with security role equals "System Admin" but it isn't bringing up the accurate users who have this. Is there a better more accurate way to do this?

Could you please provide a screenshot of Advanced Find View query you use?

Create an Advanced Find on Users.

Choose "Security Roles" and from that entity choose field "Security Role". Equals "System Administrator".

When you search for your role, you will see 3 security roles with this name returned. Pick all of them.

Run the query and you will get your list.

You should add Status Equals "Enable" as another filter on your Advanced Find.

One way to make this query more robust is to use two joins.

User > Security Role > Root security role = System Administrator

Because every user is assigned to a copy of a role from their own Business Unit your query would only find users in one BU. By using this method you should get all users from all BUs including the root
